Linn + Maria Sprite Sheets (VX Ace)

Two vaguely familiar (yet charming in their own right) heroes for use in your next RPGMaker Project, commercial or otherwise! Attribution is appreciated, but not necessary! You're welcome to modify the assets however you like but I ask that you do not distribute them as your own.

Linn is a taciturn sword-wielding hero of prophecy. In their free time, they enjoy smashing pottery and mowing the lawn.

Maria may look like an absentminded daydreamer, but did you know? She's also a world-renowned go-kart racer!

These two friends may be very different, but they do have one thing in common: a penchant for saving princesses! Yeah!

(These are just stock stories, feel free to tell any story you want with them, change the pronouns, use one without the other, whatever! You're free to use these characters however you like, and if you make anything with them I'd love to see.)

If there's any interest, I will add more poses/behaviors, face sets, maybe even new characters. I really just made these to practice sprite-making and decided to share. 

I didn't set out to make Linn like Link but it just sort of happened and I went with it. I wanted to make a girlfriend for them, and thus: Maria. Since I did set out with the intention of making her look Marioesque, I do think she's less visually distinct from Mario and could probably do with some tweaking visually.

NOTE: Maria does not have an up or down facing sprite, only left and right. See the video for a demonstration of how she moves. I felt this looked cute and kind of mimicked the appearance of Mario's sprites in the original games. If there is interest, a 4-directional sprite might be added later.
